Hellenic Training Association for Interventional Pulmonology
The Hellenic Training Association for Interventional Pulmonology (HTA-IP) is a non profit association for the development of education and training in Interventional Pulmonology (IP).
We are dedicated to offering training and education on Interventional Pulmonology, creating new standards in pulmonary medicine care.
A series of National and International Bronchoscopy courses based on
Simulation and Competence assessment are held every year in the
premises of the Respiratory Medicine Dept of N.K.University of Athens. In
collaboration with ERS we offer the Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS)
certified training program.
Since all physical courses have been postponed due to COVID19
pandemic, we organize a series of Web based seminars presenting real
life cases with diagnostic or therapeutic bronchoscopic challenges. All
cases are fully recorded and discussed live by a panel of experts thus
offering a complete didactic experience.
Every month new interesting publications in the field of Interventional
Pulmonology are added including original studies, critical reviews and
meta-analyses as well as interesting and educative case presentations
with reference to diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy and/or

In partnership with major international scientific Societies like ERS, EAB-IP and WAB-IP, we have been producing academic and clinical workshops and seminars aiming to promote the competence of Greek Pulmonologists in Bronchoscopy and other diagnostic modalities.
Our main priorities include the prompt, accurate, reliable and effective diagnosis, staging and management of Lung Ca, the effective management of central airway stenosis and the systematic approach of the diseases of the pleura.
